3D has landed on the AppStore

Alexandria, VA., — June 7, 2010 — Vito Technology announces two special versions of Solar Walk and Star Walk prepared to inaugurate WWDC. A revolutionary feature has been added to Solar Walk: the STEREO MODE for viewing planets in 3D glasses. Star Walk app has also been updated with several great additions like a NEW view of Picture of the Day, Bookmarks as well as Facebook and Twitter connect.

Solar Walk is officially the first app ever on the AppStore to bring 3D to iPads and iPhones. With special 3D stereo glasses you can nearly fly to the planets and view them in a more realistic way. None of the Apps have ever had this amazig feature before! Come on, we know you have those glasses since Avatar and waiting to use them again, put them on and touch the planets with Solar Walk.

Star Walk 4.2.1 has several completely new features as well as improved functionality. First of all, we added an easy sharing interface, allowing users to share their experience with their friends on Twitter and Facebook; and for those always eager to know more – there is no need to navigate out of the app for Wikipedia, the articles will now open within the app on the iPad version. Secondly, a completely revised Bookmarks feature will help you save your favorite night sky journeys. The redesigned Astronomy Pictures of the Day feature lets you flip through the most beautiful cosmic images ever made with a convenient slide show. We also managed to fix the compass malfunction and added moon phases so now you will never miss moon changes.
